Grays Harbor County Sheriff's Office Seeks Information in Lindsey Jo Baum Case
The Grays Harbor County Sheriff’s Office is requesting public's assistance in the kidnapping and homicide investigation of Lindsey Jo Baum, who has been missing since June 26, 2009, in McCleary, Washington. Partial remains were later identified in Kittitas County in 2017. Hunters and outdoor recreationists are asked to report any possible findings without disturbing potential evidence sites. A reward of up to $40,000 is available for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the case.

Grays Harbor County Announces New Vehicle and Vessel Licensing Agent
The Board of County Commissioners, in partnership with the Washington State Department of Licensing, has appointed County Administrator Sam Kim as the new vehicle and vessel licensing agent. In this additional role, he will focus on maintaining seamless, reliable service for both the public and licensing partners while continuing to fulfill his existing administrative responsibilities. Grays Harbor County Launches New Website

Grays Harbor County has launched a new official website designed to improve access to information and services for residents, businesses, and visitors.

The updated website features a more modern design, improved navigation, and expanded online resources. Visitors can more easily find information about county departments, Board of County Commissioners meetings, public notices, and frequently requested services.

Rain Appreciation Day

Living on the Washington coast means learning to appreciate a little rain. Each year, Grays Harbor County hosts “Rain Appreciation Day,” a lighthearted community festival celebrating the region’s famously wet weather. Held on the Montesano Courthouse Lawn, the event features a decorated umbrella parade, a puddle jump championship, a clam chowder cook-off, and a best rain gear contest. Residents and visitors gather to enjoy local food, outdoor fun, and the lush coastal environment that makes Grays Harbor County unique.
